Aluminum Facades in San Francisco

Aluminum facade design, fabrication, and installation serving the San Francisco Bay Area - engineered for seismic design requirements, coastal fog exposure, and California energy code compliance.

Aluminum Facades in San Francisco

We design, fabricate, and install aluminum facades in San Francisco and across the broader Bay Area market. We are a project-based facade partner serving the region, focused on delivering cladding systems that answer the Bay Area’s particular intersection of seismic engineering, coastal climate, and some of the most design-conscious architecture in the country.

From adaptive reuse in SoMa and life sciences campuses in Mission Bay to tech headquarters in the Peninsula and South Bay, civic projects in the East Bay, and commercial development across the wider MSA, we work with architects, contractors, and building owners to deliver aluminum facade systems built for this environment.

A facade partner for the Bay Area

The Bay Area demands technical depth from its facade partners. Seismic requirements, California’s Title 24 energy code, and a design culture that takes detail seriously mean generic specification isn’t enough. We bring engineering coordination, precise fabrication, and installation know-how to projects where getting it right matters more than getting it done quickly.

  • Design and engineering - seismic detailing, energy compliance coordination, system selection, and shop drawings developed with your team.
  • In-house fabrication - panels and extrusions fabricated to tight tolerances, sequenced for your schedule and site access constraints.
  • Installation - experienced crews delivering code-compliant, weather-resistant assemblies from groundbreaking through final inspection.

Built for San Francisco and Bay Area conditions

The Bay Area’s physical geography and regulatory environment create layered demands on the facade.

  • Seismic performance. The Bay Area sits on and near multiple active fault systems, including the San Andreas and Hayward faults. Facade systems must accommodate significant inter-story drift under seismic load without compromising the cladding plane, the drainage cavity, or the structural attachment. We specify aluminum cladding systems with engineered seismic movement allowances and tested bracket connections.
  • Coastal fog and marine exposure. San Francisco’s microclimate - persistent marine layer, salt air, and cool humidity - places demands on coating systems and fastener selection that a strictly inland climate would not. We specify coating systems and hardware appropriate for marine-adjacent exposure.
  • California Title 24 energy compliance. Continuous insulation requirements, thermal bridging limits, and overall envelope performance targets all interact with how the rainscreen subframing is designed. We coordinate wall section details with the energy model to support compliance documentation.
  • Varied microclimates across the Bay. San Jose and the South Bay run significantly warmer and drier than the SF Peninsula. The East Bay has its own temperature and wind profile. We adapt system specifications to the actual exposure of the project site, not a one-size Bay Area standard.

Systems we deliver

Aluminum panels suit the Bay Area’s design-forward commercial and institutional projects, offering precise, large-format surfaces. Aluminum wall cladding covers broad elevations consistently, aluminum battens add depth and articulation, and aluminum soffits close out canopies, breezeway ceilings, and covered entries.
